Tessa Greco is a project manager for Water Power at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and works with the DOE Water Power Technologies Office to manage the Powering the Blue Economy Initiative.
In both roles she works on technical assistance and innovation-centered projects which aim to infuse energy equity and environmental justice, as well as end-user perspectives and values so that resulting research, technology innovation, application, and community engagement is representative of and informed by the populations it serves.
In addition, Tessa manages the Hydropower and Water Systems Deployment group at NREL, which is comprised of 30 people including electrical, mechanical, and ocean engineers, research technicians, project managers, and analysts, all working toward the commercialization and improved application of hydropower, water delivery and treatment systems, and small-scale marine energy.
Tessa earned her BA in International Affairs from Lewis and Clark College, in Portland, Oregon, and her Master’s in Business Administration from George Mason University, in Fairfax, Virginia, and currently lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband and two children.
